Our White Rouge finishing compound will buff a properly prepared metal surface to a high gloss mirror finish on most all metals. We stock 5 different white compounds because they don't all do the same thing, so please see our look at our other options or contact us. The White Rouge offered here is a clean, dry (not greasy), rouge and will finish stainless steel and aluminum side trim on vintage cars to a Concourse finish. Most of the polishing shops we sell to use this White Rouge to finish with. There are a lot of white compounds and some are designed to work on stainless steel while others work better on cast aluminum. While other white compounds work good only if the part gets extremely hot. Most cast aluminum will buff just fine with a good White Rouge, but sometimes the casting is made from an alloy that just will not shine no matter what you do. The problem is the metal, not the compound or the technique you are using. In this case I have another white compound called Blizzard White and it will help produce a better shine. Please see our other products or contact us with questions. Finish compounds are generally used with a soft buff like a Canton Flannel for the best results. A loose section or Soft Airway Buff will work OK if you prefer those.
