These top of the line buffing machines operate on ordinary house current. The 3/4 HP and 1 1/2 HP units can also be wired to operate on 220 volts. They feature a solid one piece extended shaft for maximum clearance, which is needed for those hard to reach places. Concave motor housing ends extend the bearings out as far as possible to provide maximum shaft stability and clearance. For buffing, Baldors' industrial construction features: permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings; totally enclosed motor so neither dust not lint can get in to cause wear; all copper wound, no aluminum windings.
